I JUST WANNA BE A DOPER PERSON WHICH STARTS WITH ME NOT ALWAYS TELLING PEOPLE HOW DOPE I THINK I AM. (Kanye West)
This quote so sums up my life right now, you know, striving to keep my ego under control and also be as dope as possible.
Also, I love how Kanye SHOUTS everything on his blog. That's how you can tell he's sincere. When you really mean something, you should always shout it. Seriously, think about it. "I LOVE YOU, MOM." "MMMM, THIS DESSERT IS REALLY GOOD!"
Bonus QOTD (from the same Kanye blog post):
I GOT A LONG ROAD AHEAD OF ME TO MAKE PEOPLE BELIEVE I'M NOT ACTUALLY A HUGE DOUCHE BUT I'M UP FOR THE CHALLENGE.
Anybody know how to record sound from by browser (firefox), like a song I'm hearing on a website, can I record that/save it as a file?
Hey! What are y'all up to for the Fourth? I know some non-New Yorkers may be in town and for some new New Yorkers, it's their first Fourth here. And, the Jesse Jesse just left the country for like two weeks, so I'm gonna have the house to myself (with mucho space for folks to crash) and prolly be bored. So, plans?
EDIT: It turns out that there's a $25 minimum, and I don't really expect people I know to have that, so, I mean, sorry about that. I didn't know when I posted this!
OK, so, I feel really bad about asking this, but I don't really have many people I can ask.
Can you donate to AIDS Walk?
I'm walking on Sunday in AIDS Walk New York with the team from the LGBT Center, which is an amazing resource and does some pretty awesome HIV/AIDS related work for our community. Here's the thing: if you're in or near NYC and can walk with us (and help raise money yourself), you can join our team and we can hang out and it'll be really fun, or if you can afford it and you want to support the GMHC and the LGBT Center and help a great cause, you can go online and donate.

Are you doing the AIDS Walk next weekend? If so, who are you walking with?
I'm trying to decide if I should walk with the Center again (proceeds got the the LGBT Center, team code 0707), or some one else, or volunteer this year. See, I don't have anybody to ask for money, so I can give a little bit and walk, but I can also be actually helpful by being one of the 2,500 volunteers they need to make the day happen. The Jesse Jesse wanted to walk with the Center again, so I need to talk to her, but which do you think I should do?
And if you're in the New York area, and you don't have an amazingly good reason for not being a part of it, you suck. I mean, it's a wonderful way to feel better about this city for one day a year, because no other time, not even Pride, does this city feel like a nicer, warmer, happier place than that day. (And yes, in past years, the sheer number of people have given me sleepless nights leading up to it, but this year will be better!)
So, what's the deal? May 18th. What are you doing for AIDS Walk New York?
P.S. - if you're not in NYC and you'd like to be a part of it, let me know and maybe we can help!

Happy Spring!
Oh, irony! Yer cute. We should do something sometime. Maybe dinner. Call me.
Can I tell you a secret? When I'm crossing the street and I see that the car waiting for me to cross is fancy, I slow down.
Ok, so this flash movie is maybe my very favoritest thing EVER.
This morning the preacher at the corner of Broadway and Duke Ellington Blvd. told me that Jesus loves me, which is weird for me, because, I mean, I think He's a really nice guy, but I just don't feel that way about Him. And I think if anything were to ever, you know, happen, it would definitely ruin our friendship, which would suck.
I didn't actually see that Passion movie, but it sounds like He's into some heavy S&M stuff, and that's just not my scene. Plus there's the whole age difference; He's like one thousand, nine hundred eighty years older than me or something. I mean, those kind of relationships never work out.
But really, it's not even Him. I mean, He's a really sweet guy. It's His friends. They're just way too much to deal with, and you just know, like, they would be all in our business. It would be terrible.
So, now I'm in the really awkward position of telling Jesus that I just like Him as a friend. And I just know it's going to be weird the next time we see each other. We'll be at a party, separately, our eyes will meet across the room, and it'll be weird.
And if it was anybody else, you know, I'd just pretend I didn't run into the preacher, but, you know. Omnipotent, hello? (Which is also a little creepy, right?) Man, this sucks. How come the guys that like you are never the guys you like?
